Sheraton Suites Wilmington Downtown

My husband and I stayed here for only 1 night. The room was good for the price. It was clean and accommodating but it wasn’t extravagant It was good for us to relax and be alone for a night without the kiddies. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. In the morning we attended the breakfast buffet. In my opinion, the breakfast buffet could have been better. There was no beef or turkey options for the meat being served and not much hot food options. Also, when we came into the restaurant, there was not a staff person to greet us at the front desk to show us where the breakfast buffet was located. I am a well-traveled adult woman who stays in hotels frequently due to my lifestyle, and I have never experienced treatment like this before. My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing due to the lack of professionalism, poor organization, and dismissive customer service. I was charged additional fees without clear explanation and was ultimately banned without being properly informed of any outstanding balance or violations at the time of checkout. I was accused of smoking in my room — an allegation that is completely false. I do not smoke, and especially would never do so in a hotel room, let alone when I provided a cash deposit. Came here for Valentines Day Weekend, booked a club lounge room - was made aware it wasn’t available upon arrival if I knew ahead of time I would’ve canceled and booked somewhere else. I stayed at the Sheraton Downtown Wilmington the first weekend in December with my family . Everything was fine until I saw that they charged me an extra $250 in fees after checking out and there was no explanation in the bill that was emailed . I called and spoke the assistant manager , Liz, who was rude and dismissive stating I was being charged due to excess cleaning fee, which I completely disagree with . When I asked for evidence I was told to dispute the charges with my credit card company and the hotel would not send me any evidence . It is wrong to charge someone a fee and not provide proof or allow them to dispute with the merchant . I then spoke to the general manager, Mr. Buckley, who had me wait a few days only to say the charges were valid and to dispute it with my credit car
