Residence Inn by Marriott Wilmington Downtown

Everyone we met who worked here was kind and helpful. There is a cool bank vault up the stairs from the lobby. The rooms have a great setup, with a fridge and a freezer that make ice. My hubby drinks iced coffee, so it's a nice treat to have ice in the room. I am a fan of the king bed, but the pillows are a little thin for me. The gym was small and a little dirty. We got to breakfast at 9 am, and it had been picked over significantly, so it was cereal. The hotel has a good food hall across the street, and some other good restaurants down the street, which we walked to on Market Street. Market Street is very nice with tons of shops, bars, and restaurants.

I stayed here for about a month or so. I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Although a major hotel chain, it gives family-business energy with how everyone works together as a team and supports each other to get things done which trickles down to the guests having a positive experience long term. Thank you!

Wonderful staff! Nice accommodations, great bath towels. |We arrived on a Friday night and it was very hectic. There was no street parking and the local garages were all gated shut. An employee from the hotel was outside on the street helping customers (in their cars) with check-in and parking. I dropped our luggage off and my wife went in to check in. We were given ideas of nearby streets that would have parking available. Then, one of the employees told my wife that she was finishing her shift and we could have her parking spot if we were willing to wait ten minutes. So kind and helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. One or two things needed attention but not gonna quibble over the TV missing it's HDMI cable (unplugged by someone) the breakfast nook was a treat and the energetic friendly lady running it was super outgoing and helpful. The receptionist during our visit went out of her way to find us some milk for our breakfast coffee. Great bathroom too. The walk in shower was a treat.
