Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington-Brandywine Valley

Stayed for just a weekend in Feb 26. The room was clean and odor free. It was a king room but we did use the pull out bed for a kid which worked fine. The kitchen area was convenient. Coffee and Tea is available 24/7 off the lobby and the breakfast was adequate with good hours. Only one elevator works so if its a busy time you will have to wait. The images online of the gym show a cable stack machine in the back, This is not the case. Just dumbbells and cardio machines in a very tiny room. I drove to a local gym and got a one day pass. Might not be important to a lot of people. Checkout was easy and there is plenty of parking near all the entrances to the hotel.

Location convenient to activities in the Brandywine region. Suite had a spacious feeling and a view over a courtyard that found an unexpected snowfall when we woke up on New Year's Day. Large screen TVs in both living area and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. Dining has lots of tables and nice central decor. Breakfast had a lot of variety including cut-up fruit that was fresher than usual for hotel breakfasts. Would have liked a waffle maker too but it was good nonetheless. Best of all was the complimentary light dinner the night before. After a long day of driving and art museum going, didn't feel like going out again in the dark. The dinner had cheese and crackers and cut-up veggies and salad and couple types of bread and it was just what we needed!

I stay here often for business. It feels like a home away from home. Everyone treats you like family. My suite is always fresh and clean and after a long day of work I like too just relax in the living room before bed. There are also many dining options around if you do not feel like cooking yourself in the room. Breakfast is always delicious.

Wonderful rooms, great atmosphere and decor, very nice free breakfast 7 days and and an afternoon snack bar Mon - Thurs. Plenty of parking, many handicapped spots. Real fireplace in eating area. Kitchenette with full size fridge, full size microwave, full size dishwasher 2 burner electric stove, with pots, pans, plates utensils, cups and glasses in cupboards. Large rooms, picturesque grounds. In other words, HOMEY. Plenty of eateries nearby and an Aldi's half a mile away to bring in virtues to save some money and not have to eat out all the time makes $ense. Room rate very reasonable and great value.

This is one of the best hotel experience we had. The room is spacious and has plenty surfaces and drawers. The suite is so convenient for two of us to work or dine during our stay. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast and diner (diner was from Monday through Thursday), and 24 hour coffee/tea. The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. We'd stay at Homewood Suites again.
