Staybridge Suites Wilmington Downtown by IHG

Literally nothing bad to say about this stay. Given a GREAT room 525 which was huge and super functional. Bed was comfy. TV and AC worked well. The entire staff was friendly and happy and pleasant. Breakfast was perfectly fine with lots of choices.... could probably brew a few more pots of coffee with less grounds. :) This hotel felt very luxe - though no booze - even though very affordable.

I recently spent two nights here on a business trip and was thoroughly impressed. The room felt more like a spacious studio apartment, complete with all the comforts of home. The bed was incredibly comfortable—truly like sleeping on a cloud. The hotel itself is fresh and new, and the friendly, helpful staff added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast service was excellent, featuring a well-varied selection that caters to all tastes, served in a clean, spacious area with plenty of room to relax. Overall, my experience was top-notch, and I look forward to staying here again the next time I’m in Wilmington.

After researching where to stay in Wilmington, Staybridge received by far the better reviews. Came into town for a concert, after the concert, went to the hotel to check in...no power! While the front desk ladies were nice, as I'm sure it wasn't a fun evening for them either, it didn't soften the blow of having to find another hotel, at a premium price last minute, or drive home. Fortunately, we only live about 2 hours away, but driving home was not something we were planning to do after attending the concert. It made for a long evening. While things happen outside of our control, a little notice would have been nice so we could have planned accordingly, and not at 10:30 at night.

This hotel was very good for the area. I stayed here for nearly 3 weeks for work. The rooms are large and spacious and the location is excellent. The beds are comfortable (more firm than soft) and they have a nice selection of pillows available. Lots of storage space for clothing in drawers and on hangars. Each room has a steamer for clothes. The full size kitchenette was excellent. Large fridge (not a mini fridge) with ample space and good temperatures. Microwave, kettle, coffee maker, dishes, cutting board, and more in each room. Very well equipped! The gym is nice and has a good selection of cardio and free weights. There is one bench and a cable machine with various attachments. Plus plenty of space to stretch. Amazing service and friendly staff! The complimentary breakfast was tasty, and there was a variety that worked well with our 6-day stay. There were plenty of firm pillows, and the complimentary water and cider in the lobby were a plus. Great water pressure and comfy bed. Our only (smalll) complaint was the limit of 70 degrees on the thermostat.. but our stay just happened to line up with colder l weather than normal. Overall, it was a great experience, and it's within waking distance to so many great places to hang out/eat. 10/10 would stay here again. :)
