Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel

A decent hotel... Very clean. The staff is very helpful. The sports bar serves surprisingly good food and very reasonably priced drinks for a hotel. (Homemade chicken tenders!!) The problem is that the hotel needs TLC... It seems very dated and worn. TVs in the bar are ancient, furniture is old and the common areas are kept very cold in the winter. It all gives the impression that they work hard but are struggling financially. Also, don't waste money on the concierge level... It's very poorly stocked and maintained.

I just had the best experience ever checkin in at a hotel. Diana helped me at the front desk and it’s been the most professional and friendly staff interaction I have ever had at a front desk. She was amazing, helped me out with my requests, I got an upgrade for my status and she was SUPER kind offering me the perks my status has. I wish all the staff were like Diana.

My expectations were low, but this is ridiculous. The parking lot doesn’t have enough spaces for the hotel, so expect to park across the street where all of the street level parking spaces are already reserved for local businesses. You’re going to have a 10 minute walk to and from your car for which you will pay $20 a day. The wifi works occasionally on my phone and not at all on my iPad. I can’t turn on the heat because it bangs so loudly I can’t sleep. The bathroom sink doesn’t drain properly, which is the one issue I contacted the front desk about. They told me someone would come to fix it when I was out. AVOID this place IF you’re SENSITIVE TO SOUND!!! Pretty bad experience at this Sheraton so much so that I plan to avoid this line moving forward. They’re older buildings typically and I value my sleep too much to stay at these locations anymore. Half of the outlets don’t work either so good luck if you expect your phone to charge overnight without double checking. I could hear every move my neighbor made. I could have joined in on her conversation and she wasn’t even being very loud. However, I was watching tv (noting that I could still hear her conversation over the tv), she aggressively banged on the adjoining door. Initially this was a bit terrifying, but I responded back to her from my room saying that I can hear her entire conversation so she could have just had a civil conversatio

Very close to train and bus stations. The room is very spacious and clean. Staff were nice and will return if I have to stop by Springfield again.
