Customer Reviews
My night stay here was very pleasant. Don't expect the room to look prestine with brand new furnishings, but the bedding was comfortable, the shower was functional, my room was clean and everything was to expectation. Management is very nice and quick. No hassle over my deposit. Follow the rules (i.e. no smoking/vaping, don't steal stuff, etc) and zero issues. Plenty of parking, and it almost feels secluded smack in the middle of everything. Price is fair for what you're getting in my experience.
Parking lot literally looked 100 percent vacant.. but still no non smoking kings ? That's ok though not needed.. room was clean, lot was big staff friendly.. price right.. maybe not the best.. that choice is yours
Positive: Everything was in place Negative: No
I stayed here for two nights and would not come back again. The rooms were old and smelled a bit and not very clean, in almost every corner of the room was dust and the bathroom was rusty at some spots. The rest was quite okay though if its only for one night to sleep and go this place is fine.
⭐ 1 Star This Howard Johnson’s in Springfield, Massachusetts should be renamed “Surprise Police Encounter Inn.” They are not clear at all about their so-called “no visitor” policy. No signage. No explanation at check-in. No written notice. Just vibes, apparently. We had a visitor stop by briefly, someone who was not staying the night, not causing a disturbance, and paying their own way elsewhere. Instead of communicating like adults, management skipped straight to the nuclear option and called the police to “check us out.” Let that sink in. No warning. No conversation. Just cops. This wasn’t about safety. This was about laziness, power-tripping, and a complete inability to handle a basic situation professionally. If there is a strict no-visitor policy, then POST IT. SAY IT. MAKE IT CLE
