Customer Reviews
We loved this stop! Great views, great trails. Mostly peaceful. A few airboats launching, we even enjoyed them. Good price with a kind campground manager. We will definitely stay again. First come first serve.
Electric/water sites are $25 Electric only are $20 Primitive is $15 The host was pleasant and informative. It's pretty and peaceful out here (we're out here on a Friday during October). ALTHOUGH Be prepared with a heavy bug repellent for the no seeum bugs that bite. They have been relentless every time we've visited. They have a small playground that is central to everything. The bathrooms are right by the road. Not a far walk. Boat ramp has a quaint, little dock. The area around that is beautiful IMO. They have a fish and game cleaning station as well. Protective water shoes are a must for anyone wanting to explore near the water. There's a lot to explore and learn out here. The host has some maps and information inside. We also visited Cedar Key's Welcome Center first and they had a lot
Small campground. Sites with and without water. Currently no electricity on any sites due to Helene. Bathrooms are simple but clean. Hot shower was awesome! Boat launch available. Out in the boonies. Very quiet. Gail at the front desk was helpful and friendly.
Perfectly hidden away getaway. Great rates, amenities were just what was needed: electric water bathroom with shower.
Camp sites are fairly good, more level than others. Trees for shade. Easy in and easy out. Dump station a but hard to maneuver but with two folks (one spotting) should be ok. We were in a Winnebago campervan. Dave, the host and manager is very nice and accommodating. The women's bathhouse area needs serious upgrading. It is also dirty. The only place to put clothes when showering is over the door or outside the shower. No locks on the one shower nor the two toilets. Price is right. Cash only, $25. We stayed for two nights and would frequent again if in the area, but not use the bathhouse., which might be problematic for us, like this time. Also, a small public boat ramp in the campground. Nice area. There is a very nice small hike in the shell Mound area. Woodsy all around with wat
