Cedar Cove Hotel

Even tho they are heavily under construction, we had an amazing time! The rooms (on the 2nd and 3rd floor) were nicely done, comfortable and everything was with in walking distance. The management was helpful and stayed in contact the whole time. We can wait till it is fully restored!

We recently stayed in room 312. The view was good, but it was a bit impeded by the newer condos in front of the building. No big deal. The condo itself was very well equipped and very clean. The only complaint we have is that the bed is HORRIBLE. You can actually feel the springs in the mattress. ||||We checked in after hours and found our keys right where the office said they would be. But there were no check-in or check-out instructions whatsoever. We initially went to the wrong building (there are 2). Once we located our place, we couldn't get the tv to work. No big deal as we weren't there to watch tv, but we did need the wifi to get a little obligatory work done. There was no info at all about the network or password. Me and my fishing crew stayed here for two nights. We were greeted by Gina In the check-in office, who has exceptional customer service and people skills. She was very informative and accommodating. She also has a good working knowledge of the whole town and boating in the Gulf. Room 214 was modernized and very spacious/ clean. The room features two queen beds with a spacious day bed that had an additional pull out bed for a total of 4 bedding areas. The exterior of the hotel is a bit old and rural looking, but it all Ties in with whole “Small Town” Oceanic Heritage type Vibe. The Hotel is adjacent to a really nice park that has picnic seating with a view of the Gulf. This is a really nice place to stay no matter the occasion. We stayed 2 nights in room 216 and the room itself was spacious and so was the balcony. The issues we had was the floors were slanted so much that a couple of us almost lost our footing on it and another was the view in front of our balcony was obstructed by another large rental unit and also the air conditioner was having a very hard time keeping up with the heat. Service was amazing though and the pool was everything we'd hoped for. Would stay again but in the more updated side of the hotel.

I made the reservations back in March for a specific room and was disappointed to learn the room was given away. The alternate room was a loft which I said wasn't doable for health reasons and the 3rd room had a view of the 2 story group of condos and not the Gulf view I asked for. I accepted it anyway but wouldn't have if I would have known I'd be sharing it with a couple cockroachs. I was looking forward to finally getting what I reserved the stay for, the Island restaurant on the 1st floor but it was blown away by Hurricane Idalia last year. Will all of this deter me from next year's anniversary vacation? Not in the least. It's my favorite place to stay and dine. I hope the restaurant is up and running by then.
