This is not a luxury resort hotel, but is totally adequate and fits in with the relaxed feel of the community here. It's a few steps away from the waterfront and in the middle of the town. You can eat at Steamer's restaurant next door with less than a minute of walking. This is not a place to come and be entertained, but rather a place to enjoy the slow pace, the water, and the fishing if you are into that. Nature surrounds you in Cedar Key State Park.

I wish I could write a raving review on this place because the lady who checked us in was so nice, but as soon as I walked into the little check-in office, I knew it wasn't going to be a great stay.|It reeked of stale cigarettes and dog. There was a ton of clutter, and it did not leave me with a good first impression. |The rooms were ok as far as cleanliness, but boy are they outdated and old. The carpets certainly could use a good steam clean. I wouldn't walk on them in my bare feet. |Basically, if you want a cheap place to stay and comfort is not a priority. Stay here. |

Be careful! We are super clean, decent, understanding people from Indiana and I definitely don’t mind a good price on an older clean motel room for the night. We arrived tired from lots of looking around the island and a bad experience eating at the Tipsy Cow. Rickety old wood, railings definitely not safe for little kids and a couple very rude waitresses. After we settled in for the night my little 6 pound Yorkie who never has fleas and is clean as can be, started scratching. I peeked at his little part on his back and he was COMPLETELY infested with fleas. My husband said I know you’re tired but no way we can stay. We did get our money back, but the counter lady insisted we were lying to her. On the road back to Indiana, it took me 2 days, safe insecticides, and several baths t

They always make us feel comfortable, and they are the nicest people in the world to do business with. The best place to stay.

This is my first trip to cedar key. We had an awesome time. This little motel was adorable. It's an older building like most of the buildings there which adds to its charm. The beds were very clean the towels smelled like downey. The person that ran the place was super kind. I would definitely stay here again. If you're looking for massages and champagne delivered to your room not the place for you but if you're a real person looking to experience Old Town vibes right next to everything this place is great. Also pets are allowed and treated like people ...
