Sea Shell Motel

FANTASTIC Motel. Views are impeccable. The rooms are clean, spacious, depending on which room; you can not beat the view! Hotel is quiet, not a party hotel which is nice to find. I traveled with 5 adults & 2 small children. We had 2 separate rooms, one in the “house” & one on the bottom floor. The room in the “house” (#10) was spacious, clean, there were two bedrooms & a generous sized living room area with a small table, larger than average hotel fridge & a microwave. Air conditioning worked fantastic. Balcony was lovely, you can see right to the ocean, it is a partial view but the view is still beautiful. The other room was on the bottom floor, is was large, clean & had a nice kitchenette. Lovely private beach that included chairs & loungers. Many options for sitting outside to enjoy

This is hard to rate. First of all, we stayed for two days and never saw anyone in charge. We were not at the motel much however. Check in is weird, had to call the number on the door, keys were in room. I had a very hard time understanding the management on the line. Location is everything. They are right on the ocean just steps away with seating areas in the beach and just above. Nice wash area, so we could rinse off feet. The room was clean. We were upstairs in the house, This requires a large step to enter and very steep stairs. The room was fine for our purpose but it is basically an attic. Shower is tiny and has a slanted ceiling so not much space. It also has a bump in the floor and felt like we were on a constant tilt. Husband was not happy. I thought for the price and location it

Great place right on the beach, and they allow dogs.|Tom and Debra could not have been any nicer. They are friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything that I needed to make my stay wonderful. It was wonderful. Beautiful location on Nantucket sound with a beachfront/ocean front location and the water is warm for swimming.

Beautiful location, 2 star facility. 6 rooms with ocean view. Room 31 is outstanding. 33 heater wasn't working. No other rooms. Staff assisted in finding place with adjacent property and upgrade.

I've been going to the Seashell Motel for many years. Great ocean front location. Clean room. That is where the positive remarks end. This trip was met with far too many smokers everywhere in this location. Even though there is a huge sign posted on wall in the room that forbids smoking with a $250 fine anywhere inside or outside location there is ZERO enforcement by the staff. Guests smoke 24/7 in fire pit area in front of hotel where you must walk buy to your room from the parking lot. When I opened my bathroom window that faces the parking lot: Yes, smoke fills my room from that side. On the other side facing the ocean on the deck, guests right below me at the tables by stairs to the ocean: Smoking 24/7. Sitting on the deck I got a nice daily breeze of smoke. Gross.
