Scottish Inns Albany, NY

Horrible place. We were put in a smoke room without being asked. Then the room we eventually ended up in was very dirty. Walls were nasty, bathroom wasn’t clean and the AC didn’t work properly. Next day, one man working there knocks on our door and tells me I wasn’t supposed to be here and where is the guy that checked in ( my boyfriend) also brought we both checked in together. It was awful. Don’t come here. Not worth it.

My room was very filthy (floor not vacuumed, bathroom clearly not cleaned, mini fridge disgusting). My room had silverfish and roaches. Inside edition could do an episode on this place lol!! Door bolt was broken, anyone could come in, a bit scary (we told management - they could care less), anyways we ended up leaving and staying elsewhere!

Our stay here was great. We came into town to visit a family member and needed a quiet place to stay that was nearby. The first thing that grabbed our interest about this hotel was their competitive pricing, so we decided to book a room here for a couple nights. The service was excellent and they supplied us with the amenities we needed like towels and such right when we asked. On top of all this, the management staff went above and beyond. My son left his 3DS in the hotel room on accident and the staff at the hotel found it and offered to return it to us. It's amazing these days to find a place with honest folks. The Scottish Inn did so much right by us, and when we stop to visit family in the area again, we will stay here!

Room was clean, had small issue with TV but it ended up as me hitting the wrong buttons on remote instead of something else wrong. Water was hot for shower too.

The cost is the best feature. No one has cleaned thoroughly in a while, there are stains on the carpet and walls. It's a bit grungy for sure but the staff are nice and helpful and it's close to several shopping centers and the highway so its alright.
