Renaissance Albany Hotel

We had a very nice, luxurious stay at the Albany Renaissance. Our room was large and had a beautiful view of the Capitol in the snow. A quick walk up the hill led us to Empire State Plaza, with pretty holiday lighting and ice skating. ||Our room was so nice! It was very well appointed, with great toiletries and quality towels. good lighting and space to relax. Front desk staff were very nice, and helped with parking questions. What a lovely experience!

Absolutely 0 star service at an expensive hotel. First, the phones don’t work—I got calls dropped to the front desk literally every time I called Which, given how awful the stay was, was often I got sick driving from Syracuse to Boston so got a last minute hotel in Albany for the night with my 3 young daughters. Since we were unfamiliar with the city, I picked the “best” hotel I could on short notice. The QR code for the room service menu didn’t work They refused to give me a printed menu When I finally was able to access the menu with a website after 30 min on the phone and two dropped calls, it took an hour to get two Mac and cheese and two chicken fingers for my kids When it came the staff member delivering it was rude (a theme) and it had been packed with a Mac & cheese upside down su

Had a 2 night stay here Jan 2026. The room was amazing. Twin double beds and very spacious. The staff are very polite and helpful. Only had breakfast the once and it was delicious, again the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend

Good location for the conference in Albany. The security team knocked down my door 3x between 11am - 11:30 am even though I had late check out at 12pm interrupting a zoom meeting I was on. Then the free shuttle was called to take me to the airport and he said the roads were too bad to go on the highway and he would take local roads so it would take extremely long to go there safely with him. I called and uber and the highway is completely plowed and clean. The only reason I’m giving service good starts is because they were able to get me checked in “early” 30 min before checkin time. Others were waiting until after 6 for their rooms to be ready. I won’t be rebooking any clients at this hotel for future conferences.

Positive: Very attractive hotel. Room was a very nice size. Separate sofa seating area......... Large bathroom Negative: Lighting in the room was nonexistent. Dimly lit. No way to have full lighting. A struggle to see. Definitely need to improve this issue.
