Residence Inn by Marriott Albany Airport

My fiancé is staying here as a resident. He works for CSX, very long hard hours. He travels back and forth to different cities from Albany. His room hasn’t been cleaned in almost a month. Every time he asks to have his room cleaned while he is gone they don’t clean it. Every time he goes down to the front desk they say his do not disturb sign is on the door. I’m not sure about the staff and their experience with staying in hotels but I’m pretty sure everyone knows how to use a do not disturb sign, and to keep insinuating that we don’t is insulting… Certainly shouldn’t be blaming guests repeatedly for something your staff isn’t doing. He’s talked to the front desk several times and asked that they set the same day so he knows that the cleaning staff will be there and can make sure he’s not

Everything was wonderful. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very attentive to any questions we had throughout the stay. Rooms are spacious and modern and super clean. The breakfast they provided was nice even though with Covid, it couldnt be the traditional self serve hotel breakfast they had a lot to choose from no matter what you were in the mood for and the server was a lovely woman to chat with. My husband used the gym and we both used the pool which was very relaxing. Its near everything which was great. All around great stay!!

My car broke down in the way to hotel on 11/26 and I notified the property right away through the Booking chat that I wouldn’t able to make it. They ended up charging me the total amount of the stay a day later. I reached out to property by phone on 11/27 explaining the situation requesting the refund then they asked me to contact Booking.com to figure out how to proceed. Booking supposedly contacted the hotel requesting the refund approval. Called the hotel on 11/29, they said they didn’t get any notification from Booking, I was able to certify the correct email inbox from the hotel and forwarded the email I’ve gotten from Booking informing they have notified the hotel, front desk suggested to call Booking to confirm that request so the hotel could process the refund. Called Booking again

Asked for a room on the first floor and near a side entrance because I'm traveling with pets. They didn't say that none of the rooms are on the first floor and just gave me a room on the second floor. It was as far away from the elevator as it could be. I had to bring the pets and their stuff up a stairs. It was close to the room so minimal schlepping. Overall a decent experience. Very close to the thruway.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding an ongoing issue I observed during my recent week-long stay at your hotel. The staff member working in the buffet breakfast area, Mary, consistently displayed unprofessional behavior throughout my visit. Throughout the entire week, Mary appeared to be frequently distracted by her phone while on duty and was not attentive to her responsibilities. I also witnessed her speaking rudely and yelling at the elderly gentleman who works alongside her. This occurred every day and created an uncomfortable environment for guests. I wanted to bring this to your attention because it reflects poorly on the quality of service that guests expect at your establishment. I hope appropriate steps can be taken to address this matter.
