STAY AWAY!!!! I booked a reservation at this place and was skeptical due to the price and the fact it’s a 2 star hotel. Upon checking in I was given a metal key, which I found odd. I entered the assigned room and observed white, milky looking stains on the comforters. Upon further inspection I discovered yellow stains on the sheets. The room smelled very musty. The walls in the back corner appeared to have mold that has been painted over. The bathroom was the size of a small closet and there were multiple lightbulbs missing from fixtures throughout the room. I then located a cockroach crawling near the wall by the ac unit. Super nice people. Convenient to everything. Reasonable price. Super great housekeeping lady. Lots of families stay here and I really like that they have chairs by your door so you can talk with other guests or just watch the world walk run bike or drive by. I live here and I'll stay now and then as a little vacation.

Bobby, the manager was especially kind and helpful. 5 minute walk to the beach. Not overpriced. Would stay here again.

Maintenance guy Bob is the sweetest guy. Helps out when he can. New owner is making some changes. Will be referring family and friends to stay ehre.

This place should be shut down. I reserved a room at the Sandpiper Inn in Morehead City, NC, and immediately regretted it. When I walked in, a huge cockroach was crawling across the floor. The bedding was stained and filthy, and the non-smoking room stunk of cigarette smoke. I went to the front desk to ask for a new room -- and initially, the owner agreed. But the second he saw my service dog, everything changed. He said, "No. You cannot stay here. You must leave." When I mentioned my rights under the ADA, he replied, "I don't care about the ADA." Then his wife joined in and shouted across the lobby, "Absolutely not! You must leave!" This was blatant, aggressive disability discrimination.
