Clean and well maintained. 1960's cool architecture where every room has a balcony with ocean view. Rooms are bright with natural light. Lots of neat ammenities. Front desk has a J1772 to NACS adaptor so you can charge your Tesla at the two 6KW destination chargers.

My family and I have been staying at the Atlantis off and on since the 1980s. It’s a lovely place: oceanfront with great balconies and views. There are kitchenettes in the suites should one desire the convenience of fixing one’s own meals and having limited contact with civilization (yup, that me to a tee while on vacation). That being said, there are countless great local restaurants or chain eateries minutes away. It’s dog friendly, which is fantastic. People are pretty considerate about not being noisy, and there’s a noise policy in effect, although I’ve never had to contact any staff about such a concern. There’s a common lounge area which is supposed to be pretty cool. A previous reviewer complained that they weren’t told it is closed at the moment due to renovations , but I saw this

Enjoyed our stay very much and we will surely be back. This is a great dog-friendly hotel on a beautiful beach. It's in a quiet part of a huge barrier island and right on the border between the two towns which occupy it. Staff is friendly and efficient, rooms are very nice, view from the third (top) floor is gorgeous. Lots of thoughtful extras everywhere. No restaurant at the hotel but plenty of places on the island (and mainland) and our room had a kitchen. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided for guests, nice pool, dog amenities. Relax and soak it all in.

1st time here. Booked for 3 nights. Check in was ok, girl not friendly. Had a room on the 1st floor, view was nice. We liked the setup of the room. Found a big spider web in the kitchen and room was dusty. Not cleaned in awhile. Unpacked and relaxing. Next thing I see a roach on the toilet. Then another. Ending up going to the office, which was closed. Called the after hour number and the guy answered and came to our room pretty quickly. By this time we had 10 roaches and told him we did not want this room. He had to check to see if there was another avaliable which there was . This was at 9 pm. Got a room on the second floor, which was clean. The guy said they have been spraying for roaches. Did not see any more roaches. We were disappointed that there was no lounge, whic

We first heard about Atlantis through Our State magazine and are truly pleased with our experience. This is a truly “old school” lodging for anyone with happy memories of unspoiled, small-town beach going pre 1970’s. The atmosphere is welcoming and very pet friendly. We stayed five nights and found our suite exceptionally clean and well-appointed, with a huge bathroom, dual sinks and cabinets, plenty of clean linen and towels. The water pressure in the shower and hot water were fantastic (we’ve stayed places with old, broken plumbing and were dreading the bathroom). The suite itself was VERY thoughtfully designed with lots of closet space (enough room to be a separate dressing area) deep bookcase shelving, very comfortable living room furniture, basic dining table and seating for four,
