San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront

Beautiful breakfast and evening spread for business travelers/M Club- lots of fresh grilled vegetables in morning and oatmeal with a variety of toppings; fresh salad and cheese plate in evening. Restaurant served a very good lean burger. I’m gluten sensitive and they were very accommodating. Very friendly staff-front desk this morning, bar last night, waiter at dinner, staff in lounge. I asked if I could take a plate of deliciously fresh salad from M Club up to my room in the evening, Amalia was so kind she wrapped the plate in plastic and placed it in a bag for me to take to my room. Very clean, peaceful rooms that are refreshed daily.

A good location for an early flight if you need to be near SFO. Our room was fine and the staff was fine until we got to breakfast. As a Celiac, we "proof" all hotels' F&B offerings to ensure they have gluten-free offerings. This was promised to us over the phone, but for breakfast, they couldn't offer us gluten-free anything. The staff seemed untrained in the idea, but a chef later found the gluten-free bread, but it was too late for us. The hotel accommodated a rate reduction because we'd purchased a room with (gluten-free) breakfast which was very nice of them but we had to get breakfast for one of us later in the Polaris Lounge at SFO. The shuttle to SFO was reliable, making the hotel, overall, a reasonable choice for an overnight stay prior to travel. Just beware if you're Celiac.

The rooms are extremely dark, the water coming out of the showerhead is barely a trickle, and there’s no drawers in the room to put your clothing. It used to be a great hotel… So sad. Thankfully, the buffet breakfast is very good and if you are a elite member, we get a private dining room.

The hotel is ideal for early or late flights, with a spacious and comfortable free shuttle bus to the airport. Guests enjoy excellent views of planes taking off and landing, as well as a relaxing coastal walkway. The buildings are well maintained and look new. Rooms are spacious, though amenities like kits and slippers must be requested from housekeeping. Marriott Gold members may receive room upgrades.

Here for a conference. Was initially not expecting much from an “airport hotel,” but this is a great property. Beautiful rooms, great service, conference rooms have been great too, along with the catering. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby, a well appointed gym (that was popular), and it’s located adjacent to the Bay Trail, great for a walk or a run.
