Runway Inn Miami Airport Hotel

Seems they are currently renovating some areas but the room still seemed dated. Location was perfect for what we needed to get done.

I have been trying to cancel my reservation here at this hotel, the phone number listen on google is not connected to the hotel. I booked through hopper, and there was no “non refundable policy” listen clearly for this hotel (there were for others) when I tried to call to figure it out the number was first connected to a medical device hotline, and then the number would not connect to anything at all. No communication or customer service.

Rooms with fridges are hard to come by. I had to wait weeks for one. When I finally got one the king bed was infested with horrible mites that were painful. It seems the mattresses and blankets needed to be replaced many years ago. The inside of the nightstand stunk horribly. Room stank and no fan in the bathroom to remove mold. Windows have cracks that sat wide open. I don't know how anyone survives there in the summer with mosquitoes. $450+ a week is too much. If they charged $380 a week or $1600 a month they could keep tenants. Someone was coming in my rooms putting strange liquid into my drinks. Someone also came in and stole some things. You can tell it's an old hotel when you first enter. They are remodeling some of the rooms now. It is clean and the restaurant across the street is awesome. Like another review said, it's good for a night, but I wouldn't stay longer than that. They do not have an elevator....the construction went on until 2am, so not a good night of sleep. I forgot to add...they have transportation to and from the airport, but it's not reliable. It takes a very long time for them to come. It was 45 minutes for me and over an hour for my sister. Also, you have to step up into the shower which is slippery, so be careful.
