This appears to be a place you can freely camp. There is a gazebo back in the woods and it appears many trees were planted after the once was a fire. I was concerned it was somebody's tree farm by satellite images. I'm a truck driver so I parked across the street behind the cemetary when I got here at night and explored in the morning haha. (But it was peaceful and farther from the road in back there) Visibility in the lake was like 6 or 7 feet. Snokled, not much down there but saw some fish. Would come here again.

It was free for me to stay the night. Nobody bothered me on a weeknight. It seems like maybe teenagers go there on the weekends because there was burnt trash in the pits (cans, batteries, clothing or something), not something mature people would do, in my opinion. It is possible you need a land use permit to camp there, as per wildlife management signs in other areas. Beautiful cedar that partially fell available nearby for firewood. Lake is about a quarter mile down the hill. There is some road noise, because the camp spots are just off the road, but I stayed on a week night, so I think it was minimal. Easy to miss the turn-off from the street, as the speed limit is 45 or 55, and the locals don't appreciate people going slower to look for it. Overall very nice spot for free, and I'd stay

Was a nice quiet spot with about 4 spots to pitch a tent. Was right next to the road, so there was some road noise, but has a couple of fire pits and really appreciated it being free. Heard 2 owls very close at night very cool! The houses nearby are pretty nice, so the area feels safe.

Unsafe area. Active manhunt the night we slept there, dozens of police. Unmaintained and overgrown. Waste on the ground. Won't be back ever. This might have ruined me for primitive campsites for awhile.

Love camping out there on a week night because there's nobody else around just me and my friends Stepdad having some fun together
