Holiday Inn Express Forsyth by IHG

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Forsyth by IHG and unfortunately the experience was disappointing overall. The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay, but there was no clear communication about the extent of the work. At one point, the water was turned off, which created a significant inconvenience. Updates are clearly needed throughout the property, and while renovations are underway, guests should be properly informed ahead of time. The room configuration was another major issue. I booked a king room, but the layout was extremely tight. The king bed felt oversized for the space, leaving very little room to move around. There was barely enough space to open a suitcase, which made the stay uncomfortable and impractical. On a positive note, the hotel is very easy to access

I just spent the night there. Arrived later than anticipated due to weather and traffic. I asked if they had decaffeinated coffee. The woman at the desk made me a brand new pot. How wonderful is that. It's an older hotel. However, the room was clean and really that's what you want in a hotel room. A nice bed, nice pillows and clean. So was everything I needed

We arrived late and were still greeted graciously. Check in was fast and luggage carts were readily available. We had an easy time getting to the room and getting situated. All of the amenities were available. It was great to have access to a working ice machine! The staff, from the front desk to breakfast to housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Being a pet friendly site was an important reason for choosing this location, and the rest was all positive.

We chose this property due to its generally positive reviews and the ability to use points for a free night. Upon arrival (after a 12 hour drive from northern Indiana), we were told by the front desk staff that the water had just been turned on after being off for the past 6 hours to do renovations, and to run our sink and shower when entering our room. I understand ongoing renovations, but there absolutely should have been an email from the hotel management staff or a notification in the app about the water issue. We arrived on day 3 of the 4 days of posted shut offs (during a holiday weekend, nonetheless) where the water was scheduled to be turned off for 6-8 hours per day. Firstly let me say this: The staff is honorable and honest!! I left a bag full of valuables after I checked out and I received a call informing me what I left so I could retrieve it!|| I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. I booked a very affordable suite with 2 beds. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and punctual, the room was very clean and kept. All the facilities were well maintained and top tier. ||I checked in late at night After a 10 hour drive. The bed was very comfortable and after a great included breakfast, I grabbed my things and checked out. About 2 hours later I received a call from this hotel telling me that I left a bag full of valuables in one of the drawers.
