Royal Inn Motel

The review complaining about room 23 is completely legit. The amount of noise from the road was insane, you heard every bike, truck, ambulance etc as if it was in your room. The light is also an issue, I woke up at 4.30am and thought it was 7am or 8am. That said, the rooms were relatively clean and comfortable. The owners were also polite and friendly. On checkout, the lady helped exchange my $10 note so that I could use the vending machine outside. Overall, it's clean and cheap. I wouldnt want to stay in room 23 again but wouldn't be against staying at the motel again.

Don't let the check-in attendant place you in Room 23. This motel should not be renting this room at the same price as others, if at all. It sits atop the check-in office, and it is the closest room to the busy roadway beside the motel. While the motel can not control traffic, the door to Room 23 has a long 1-inch wide vertical gap and another 1-inch+ opening on the bottom of the door that permits sound like an open window (and surely would be a warm welcome to rodents). Because of these massive air gaps, you will hear every vroom and pothole as if you were sleeping directly on the asphalt. In addition, a large and blinding 24/7 fluorescent light shines directly overhead Room 23, and the curtains don't block it. Cheap, clean, good location. What more can you ask for. Have to edit this review ! Just had my room cleaned and I was very impressed. Much better job than most budget motels I’ve stayed at. They even fixed the slightly wobbly toilet that I never even complained about.

Usually stop in the Fredericksburg area on our trips north but first time at Royal Inn Motel. Thanks to all those that had reviewed this place before me because I would have missed it otherwise. Clean room with mini fridge and microwave, good location

Rome was very clean I was very impressed the person who checked us in was very nice very polite have stayed here for many many years year after year but this time it was really clean bathrooms so impressed.
