Royal Inn

When you check in there are more signs with "thou shall not's" than in the bible, if you need any extra linens, you had to pay extra for them. "Don't talk to the housekeeping staff AT ALL. There was no trash cans or ice bucket in the room. The room was reasonably clean and we saw NO signs of creepy crawlies. It's my opinion that owners only care about every penny they can milk out of the place. This could be nice place if they stopped pinching pennies and worried more about the comfort of the guest, and don't treat them like they are out to rob them blind.

Positive: Comfortable bed! Nothing fancy, but clean and low cost. Negative: No coffeemakers in the rooms. There's one in the office, but never has coffee in it.

We stayed at this property because we were there on business. We booked and stayed there because it was the closest to our job site. Upon checking in, which was a terrible process, the room had mold and mildew. We literally had to deep clean the room. The cigarette smell was awful. I had to buy air fresheners to mask the smell. Dealing with Tammy was horrible because she was loud and very obnoxious constantly screwing up our payments. Finally decided to pay cash because our account was constantly being messed up due to her processing higher amounts than the amount quoted to pay. This happened to the entire crew. They allowed guys to leave a Pomeranian dog in the back of a truck throughout the night and day. It ran loose even though the law states it had to be on a leash. The dog constantly

It was what you’d expect for the price you’re paying. Simple check-in, no frills staff, and simple check-out. The room did have a smell to it, but we were there to just sleep so it didn’t matter much to us. Smart tv, clean sheets, and clean towels. I’m not raving about it, but it was reasonably priced and gave us what we needed.

We stayed at the Royal Inn for the weekend of the white out game (only because it was the only hotel not charging an absurd amount) and now we know why. The rooms are dirty and very dated, we had no soap at all in the bathrooms. There was a musty/stale smell to the room. They have a ring camera in the hallway and everytime the outside door opens it chimes loudly “you’re being recorded”
