Rodeway Inn & Suites North Hollywood Burbank Airport - Universal Area

Definitely do not recommend this place. It's not in the best part of town, and the rooms could stand to be renovated as well. What was especially weird though, was that the folks at the front desk required a deposit that they insisted be in cash. They wouldn't put a card on file or anything. Something about that just seems incredibly shady. I was so happy to get out of this place, and am just glad nothing happened to me, my car, or my money while I was here.

Visibly dirty rooms. Sofas were stained. They asked for cash when we entered and said it was a deposit and then tried to say they never asked for a deposit. Gunshots, helicopters, and children crying and horse playing till 1 in the morning. Unsafe area, bad quality of hotel.

Staying in this hotel was honestly a pretty rough experience. The whole room felt grimy from the get-go: door handles, plugs, and switches all had visible dirt, and there was dust and random patches on the walls. The bathroom was no better—dirty walls, questionable towels, and even a window in the shower area that just opens up to an alley that was just a regular clean window to expose you. The furniture was stained—like the couch was so stained we didn’t even use it—and the bed and pillows made us so unsure that we had to put our own shirts over them. Overall, it just felt like we couldn’t tell what was clean or not, and the place definitely needed a serious deep clean.

Positive: It had a bedroom Negative: The window was missing in the bathroom allowing the smoke from the So Cal fires to come in. The wind was blowing about 12 mph, the windows rattled all night. Bathroom door didn't close. No blankets in the room. With the power out it was cold, staff left

The room was decent, clean. However, the air conditioning was poor, especially for a hot Sunday in the area. It had reasonable upgrates, but two towels, and a bar of soap that was quite small and thin. The area is boreline (between kind of safe and kinda not). I heard a automated voice stating that (and perhaps to the unhoused, etc.) were to leave the area, that it was being surveillanced. This was throughout the night.
