Timen House

I love timens house because were not only a hostel, we're a community. Rooms are spacious, clean, and charming. Also, the location is *very* convenient; located .3 miles from the lively arts district, and also the north hollywood bus/train stations. The landlords are very kind; they treat you as a human, and can assist in whatever you need. Also, very cost effective. If you need a good place to lay your head, look no further.

I had a wonderful stay at the Timen Hostel! The price was excellent and much cheaper than a hotel, but the accommodations were still top-notch. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great value and comfort.

DO NOT STAY HERE -- RUN! So many red flags. It's a Russian couple who bought a rundown property and are illegally renting bunk beds crammed into dilapidated rooms. There is no privacy or safety. Men walk thru the women's area to access the disgusting bathroom that had mold and mildew. The whole property smelled like smoke. The husband and wife are both incredibly pushy and act as if it's a deal for $50 per night. For $100 per night you and another person can stay in a Pasadena motel with two queen beds and a private bathroom so it ends up being the same cost, except you have a CLEAN room and a door that locks, a microwave, a TV, mini-fridge, and safe parking.||||Heck, you're better off sleeping in your car than staying here. It was creepy and disgusting. I guess if you're a 20something mal

Wonderful people, and great community feel. Came for a day and stayed weeks. Natalia and Michael are great made you feel like family always recommend

I was going through something last night and decided to call Timen House. I asked if there were any rooms available and how much were their rates. I believe it was a woman who answered the phone late at night, and the first thing she said to me was, “what?”. It was a lack of communication from her end to respond in such a poor manner. I repeated my question to her, which then lead to her asking me, “What time is it?”. I was very confused, and told her the time. She proceeded to say, “It’s late, why are you calling at this time?” In a joking way. I didn’t understood why she was behaving this way towards me, and I repeated my question to her for the third time. She told me she refuses to help me because it was already late while laughing over the phone. I told her she was rude and hung up.
