Mikado Hotel

I would love to leave a great review for my stay because initially the staff was accommodating but after I checked in to my room there were issues that were not handled properly. The room smelled like cigarettes and the tv was broken. For 5 hours from 2am-7am I spent the whole night complaining to the front desk about a noisy guest upstairs. Instead of removing the guest for making noise all night, the staff joked about the guest having a good time and that I should use the provided ear plugs to sleep through the night. I have never felt more disrespected in my life and I have never dealt with any noise from other hotel guests. It’s my understanding that there are quiet hours at every hotel and if a guest receives multiple complaints then that guest should be removed. I spent an entire

We were just looking for a place to lay our heads as we were visiting family all day. It is between two highways, but once in the room, It was very quiet. Hopefully they’ll get to this room with their renovation project. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Check in staff was great. ||However, the room had stains on the carpet, and the bathroom light fixture had plastic covers on two of the bulbs, and the third was just a bare bulb. There wasn’t much room for your toilet articles (I used the ironing board for counter space). A new vanity with drawers would be helpful in this small bathroom. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice to have, but coffee was available in the foyer.

Positive: I've stayed here before. The rooms are always nice and clean whenever I stay. The staff is always nice and friendly. Negative: Only thing I could think of is that I wish the koi pond outside was full but overall, there isn't anything I don't necessarily like about the hotel.

I checked into this hotel at the last minute to get some sleep due to my apartment flooding. I called ahead and spoke with a gentleman named Pauly and he held the last room available for me. When I arrived around 1 am it was a smooth check in. Once I got into the room I noticed the tv screen was fading in and out and remote stopped working. I couldn’t turn off the tv to go to sleep. I went to the front desk about this and they offered me another remote to turn off the tv. Once I turned off the tv I was then interrupted by the guest upstairs who sounded like he was stomping on the floor at 2 am. I have never dealt with any noises from other hotel rooms out of the hundreds of hotels I have booked .After I made the first complaint the noise stopped for 30 mins and then started again harder

Second time coming here after 18hr shifts with my working dog. I was put in a room without no problem in less than 10 minutes which was amazing. However, although it was convenient to pay for the parking because parking is pretty much in front of the rooms, parking spaces are pretty much for compact vehicles. The second visit, the lady said I couldnt park in street anymore which I found extremely weird and false information. So I felt like she was just really trying to sell me the parking permit, a bit rude. I was extremely tired and just got the parking permit. Rooms are nice and clean. Slept very comfortably. My service dog and I will definitely use this spot to rest again. Thanks
