Rodeway Inn

In town visiting Liberty University and needed a cheap place to stay price was good and was really close to the school. We arrived late and had to change rooms 3 times until one was located that was acceptable. First one we couldn’t get into, door handle just spun. Second one had unknown brown substance in the toilet, toilet wouldn’t flush or fill, smelled like smoke and the tub was full of water (picture attached). Third one was in a different building and much better, the smoke alarm battery was low so it was beeping and one of the beds had its sheets stripped but not replaced but other than those things I would have been okay staying in it. At this point the manager came over and said he’d check the rooms before assigning us a new one. The fourth room he let us into was great, no smell,

It's the best place to stay at in Lynchburg because it's clean, has a good breakfast, and most of all the staff is really cool. They make sure you have everything you need, they're not rude, they don't look at you like your not a guest and they don't bother you. I also like they're outdoor grilling area and the rooms up top are nice to look out from at night! Keep up the good work Rodeway. I look forward to being a guest in the near future.

This hotel is in serious need of renovation. It’s old and very dated. There was no service to the room at all the whole week I was there. There were no towels or wash cloths. I had to go on three different occasions to the office to beg for a washcloth and towels. The people on staff were very friendly but they obviously can’t give what they don’t have. This hotel does not fit the standard of Choice Hotels. This place should be immediately closed and renovated. I was also in a non smoking room but there were smokers everywhere and the smoke poured in all week. It was truly disgusting. Finally, the free breakfast was toast and waffles. Not up to the standard I am used to for choice hotels.

Absolutely disgusting room and the staff was rude and unhelpful. We stayed here while attending a conference at Liberty. The church I attended with booked the room. Honestly worst place I’ve ever stayed at and i travel often. When we arrived we saw a young man that we thought was homeless pushing a dollar general cart. Turns out he worked for the hotel and was transporting cleaning supplies, trash, and sheets in the Dollar General cart. I am allergic to cats and it is obvious someone had a cat in the room before because I was unable to breath while staying there. Further proof is that the curtains had been ripped and clawed at. We booked a non-smoking room. Upon entering the room, a stale smoke odor immediately assaulted our nostrils.||Our room had no towels or soap. The bedside table was extremely sticky and the phone did not work. I asked for another room, citing these complaints. We were given another room which did not smell like smoke, but it did have an unpleasant odor. The new room did have towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but still no hand soap? My last complaint was that I could not get the hot water to turn on because the knob fell off as I was trying to turn it on. Oh, also the toilet ran all night. Overall both rooms we were in need of repair and better cleaning. The pool water was green and full of leaves. I am sure it was not in usable condition this summer. The hotel breakfast was decen
