Residence Inn by Marriott Lynchburg

Update: Just spent a week there again and the treadmill is still broken (since June now) and the room I had was missing the shade on the lights by the bed. None of the other things have been fixed either. Original Post: The hotel is nice but not great. The staff working there are wonderful and very helpful. It's the little things that are annoying. I was there for two months this summer and one of the treadmills didn't work. I was told they ordered parts for it. I came back for a few weeks three months later and it still didn't work and they acted like they knew nothing about it. The juice machine didn't work for the last week I was there. There are dryers that have been mangled for years. I'm not going to list everything but there seems to be little effort into keeping this a nice place

A little disappointed with this hotel. Breakfast was ok, not great, toaster didn't work, you had to ask if you wanted waffles, first day didn't see anyone to ask. Bed was not up to par with what we expect of a Marriott property. Also our room was directly across Cookout which was open until 2 am horns blowing loud street noises and we were on the 3rd floor. Maybe facing the mall might be better but then there are trains.. Ugh. I thought that the furniture needed upgrading, stains on the sofa, my adult son slept on the sofa bed , never again!

Good location near the mall, but not a great place. The rooms were large and quiet. The beds were lumpy and saggy. Breakfast was a disaster. The coffee was lukewarm, the hot water was ice cold. Food unappealing. Apparently no one checks overnight on these items. Go out for breakfast. The mall, close by, has a Chick-Fil-A.

Always a very pleasant stay when we're in town. Front desk staff are 2nd to none. Housekeeping staff have great customer service skills as well! Room had a weird smell during recent visit, but other than that all was great as usual.

Staff was friendly but did not offer any special gesture of loyalty, me being a elite gold member. No complementary water bottles. Room was clean but smelled funny at the start. Common area, entrance is modern but rooms need an upgrade. Stay was comfortable. Complementary hot breakfast was good. Check-in and Check-out were pretty smooth. I could see the efforts taken by staff to keep the hotel clean and safe. I would recommend if anyone looking for longer stay.
