Craddock Terry Hotel, Lynchburg, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Honest review, the property is spectacular. A converted is shoe factory and it's fantastic. The location is one of the best that I've been in my travels. Great restaurants within walking distance and awesome views. The negative: it is not quiet and you can't get the rooms dark. No curtains over the window blinds. The train really didn't bother me, it was the drunk guy in the room next to me yelling from 9:15-10:15 every night. There are 2 restaurants attached, the pizza restaurant is really good. The other, Shoemakers, is only open Thursday-Sunday, very disappointing. If you go, walk 100 feet to Bootleggers, it's got the best restaurant service I've had in years. I can't recommend the hotel due to the noise and inability to get a dark room to sleep.

Cannot brag enough about this hotel! Not only was it beautiful, but the rooms were spacious, and the customer service was out of this world! From the moment I got there, I was greeted with the warmest welcome by Lola. She was as friendly as could be and helped me find a place for dinner. The next morning, Adriana was just as great! Same warm greeting and helped me find a local coffee shop. Incredible stay!

Every step of my experience has been so wonderful. The staff were friendly, very accommodating, and helpful. I called ahead of time to request if I could check in early for a wedding and they tried to the best of their abilities to make it happen! During check in I had told them I had hit some bumps in my journey anr they were so welcoming and patient with me. SUCH a beautiful hotel and my room was absolutely perfect - super cozy, bathroom was flawless, little touches like a tiny Christmas tree made it very homey. The complimentary breakfast in the wooden shoebox was absolutely adorable and one of the highlights of my stay. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for one night to break up a road trip. We had our dog with us and rather than have her in the car for 10+ hours we decided to make a last minute decision to stop halfway at a hotel. The Craddock came up as an option that allowed pets so I just booked it and expected a standard hotel stay. When we checked in we were blown away at the service and the accommodations provided for pets. We were given a room on the main floor with easy access to the exits which was crucial with a dog. When we walked in the room we saw that the hotel had left not only a dog bed but a gift bag with treats and a little toy. There are not enough words to describe how well the CTH team knocked our wedding weekend OUT OF THE PARK!!! For starters, the hotel manager Lindsay Land truly is one of the best people we’ve met throughout our 2 years of planning. She was responsive, helpful, thoughtful and reassuring with all details leading up to the big day. In addition, she even helped coordinate our rehearsal dinner with the Shoemakers restaurant connected to the property. The rooms were enormous and multiple guests commented on the amazing feel and architecture of the hotel. The fact that it was in an old shoe factory - something that was unknown to us at the time or choosing this place - was truly extraordinary.
