Rodeway Inn Groton - New London

Waiting to hear from the manager. The hotel changed my check in date and yet after I proved my check in was correct, the guy at the desk Walter still said that they had no room for me. I've stayed there several times before. I could tell that Walter had plenty of attitude just walking up to the desk, he tried to argue right from the start. Later I called choice hotels and they told me that the hotel canceled my reservation and changed it to the next day and noted that I had the wrong date! Incredible. I had to pay more for a different hotel in town. Absolutely the worst.

Positive: The staff were very friendly and wanted to be helpful. Large mini fridge. Negative: The bedroom had holes in it, the holes went all the way through to the floor and looked like bullet holes. The room has mold next to the mini fridge. The small windows doesn't close, so temps and bugs were coming in. People live at the hotel permanently.

The room seemed to have a musty smell to it. The refrigerator was on a warped or worn out base, so it wobbles when you open it. We did not use the microwave. The lighting was near the beds, but the room was still dark additional lamps would help to solve this. There was no clock in the room. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet paper holder had no piece to hold the roll in its place. The beds were comfortable le enough. It appears this motel is run down.

This is Willis aunt he recommended the rodeway 2 years ago I would slept in my car before I stayed at rodeway now it's amazing the exterior and interior has improved the new staff is amazing whoever hired Willis and Heather u did well they are amazing they brought this place back.i stayed at super 8 they was rude couldn't get help at front desk they harassed me over 20 bucks but they got their people talking they owe 1600 and kick people out after 28 days but some people been there 5 years I will never recommend super 8 again rodeway all the way this summer we got over 60 people coming and we all coming to rodeway if there is room and they donate food and hot tea and coffee every morning

The Rodeway Inn in Groton, Connecticut is one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever stayed in! The rooms are filthy dirty filled with mold they smell so bad. I know it’s a good price but spends a little more because the place is absolutely disgusting. They told me that they were gonna give me a refund, but they lied. They did not give me a refund. They just told me what I wanted to hear. I would definitely think twice filthy disgusting dirty, and smelly. It’s like a crack hotel.
