Motel 6 Groton, CT

Worst experience ever. DONT STAY HERE FOR ANY REASON OR CIRCUMSTANCE. The rooms stink like smoke and funk. There are weird people that congregate in the hallways. Rooms in heinous condition. Staff is unprofessional and uncaring. Wanted to take a shower to get the animal funk smell off from the room. NO HOT WATER. I go to ask the desk what the issue was. Her words "hot water is fine, you need to run it for 30 minutes then it will heat up" Are you kidding me? She wasn't. I did what she said...guess what there's not proper running hot water of any kind. Also, there ad shows a pool. There is no pool no amenities no nothing but a busted down filthy motel w uncaring staff. You would be better camping then setting foot in this discusting cesspool of a hotel. Don't waste your time or your money on

Anything was an improvement over our experience at Red Roof Inn. We probably would not normally book this place either except we were desperate and on a budget. But we almost didn’t stay through the first night and in the end after staying two nights we did leave in the middle of the night. Motel patrons wee noisy, and housekeeping never cleaned our room. We had to ask for clean towels which we gladly provided. Here was also soap, shampoo, and hand lotion in the room and access to Wi-Fi. The fridge was a nice plus too. The water was hot, room clean initially, shower and bathroom a good size. Room was a good size too. Price okay for what we got.

I was visiting family and stayed here 2 times in 2 weeks. The first time was 9 days and the second one overnight in a different room. Both rooms were immaculately clean. I wiped down the remote and all surfaces with a single sanitizing wipe and it was still perfectly clean when I was done. I was shocked! I've stayed in a $700 hotel that wasn't this clean! It is also one of the most quiet hotels I've stayed in despite being at high occupancy and allowing pets. I saw many dogs but didn't hear a single one. The beds were comfortable and the staff kind and helpful. This is NOT a 5 star hotel so yes the furniture and decor is dated but it is well maintained and well worth the money. I will 100% be choosing this place next time I'm in town.

This Motel is absolute GARBAGE. There was a smell in the room, I had to ask for a blow dryer at the front desk which looked like it was pulled out of the wall, the furniture was trash, the microwave and refrigerator were disgusting. There were people roaming the premises at all hours of the night like it was renting to homeless people. Do yourself a favor and spend more money to get a decent place to rest. This place made me feel very uneasy. I will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 again. Also, the phone in the room did not work.
