Rodeway Inn Greenwood

This motel has so much potential! I stayed here in November 2025 and could see the owners had put significant effort into making it nice. They bought it a few years earlier and it was a very distress property. It was much better in November but you could still see some signs of its prior condition here and there. The owner seemed very interested in feedback and ideas and seemed very committed to making it a nice place to stay. There were some issues with my room - housekeeping and maintenance. He was eager to address these. I figured these were growing pains. I returned in February 2026, hoping they'd continued to make improvements. I called to see if they had any rooms available. Stayed at this hotel while on a business trip. I was impressed at how clean the room was. The location is very convenient to a wide variety of dining options. The room appointments and lighting were modern. I especially liked the glass tops to the furniture! When I came back from my workday, maid service had been there and everything smelled fresh and clean. On perhaps the two hottest days of the Summer, the AC worked flawlessly. I was very pleased that I chose to stay here!

I went to the rodeway in in greenwood, SC last weekend. I can't even begin to tell you how disgusting this room was. There was urine around the toilet. Roaches were everywhere and there was NO tv remote. Would never recommend this place

Terrible experience. Didn't feel safe at all. Literally maybe 4 other guests was there and we were placed on the top directly in front of the stairwell, then come night time the girl working up front and the person beside us blocked the stairs off to "paint" at 9 o'clock at night. Then placed a sign to "use the other stairs", no direction as to where these stairs where, which were located at the back of the hotel way down away from our room. To me that could definitely be a fire/safety hazard. I couldn't understand that if the girl working the front knew they'd been painting the stairwell why place a guest directly in front of them, why not put us in one of the many other empty rooms. It was conveniently located, great price, quite place. Pretty nice motel. Need to continue with there updating the building. Manager/owner was really nice, respectful and instilling if you have any issues please let him know. He has genuine interest & concerns with his customers. That’s not something you find a lot these days
