Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Greenwood

Room was clean, easy parking, great location, front staff were helpful and kind. Only issue is one of the plugs on the center nightstand didnt work and the drains on both the sink and tub did not drain well. One thing worth noting for families staying with smaller children, our rooms window could be opened and there was no safety on it. When you open it, its a giant hole that children could climb and fall straight to the ground (no screen.) Very dangerous so do not leave your kids unatttended in the room, ever. Disappointed, we read that there was a hot tub and come to find out it was gone. Pool area is in poor condition (ceiling peeling, worn chairs, dirty grout, gross water foutain) but the water itself seemed clean and was fine for our kid. I stay at this hotel every time I travel to Greenwood to visit family. I was there over Thanksgiving and again at Christmas. I am thankful that they are there, clean, quiet and friendly. The general manager was kind, helpful and respectful while checking me in. I was delighted to hear that my room was ready and we could check in and drop off our luggage. I was especially pleased with this stay. I travel often and finding a place that doesn't disappoint in any way is especially hard. This place had great friendly staff the place was clean and smelled fresh. The pool was warm not cold like most indoor pools. The rooms were clean and beds and bedding were very comfortable. We had a handicapped room because my daughter is disabled and they even had a phone in the bathroom in case of emergency. This will be my go to every visit to Greenwood. I also liked the fact I could walk to the movie theater across the parking and stores and restaurants.Thanks for my relaxing stay.

The rooms are small and over priced. Honestly very dissapointing for a Marriott. Not a good value. The clerk was nice but I had to ask use my Marriott rewards the next day at check out

I was frozen out of my home in northern South Carolina and out of necessity I drove out of the storms greatest influence. This trip was totally impromptu. Staff and accommodations were more than I'd hoped for . Kudos Fairfield by Marriot .
