Customer Reviews
The location is fantastic—very accessible to the PATH, making trips to downtown NYC quick and easy. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they even offered us a great rate when we decided to extend our stay. Housekeeping was equally wonderful. We requested an extra bed, and it was delivered promptly without any hassle. Although we initially booked the smallest room, we ended up extending our stay because the hotel felt comfortable and welcoming—truly like a home away from home. A nice bonus is the complimentary coffee available on the 11th floor in the mornings. I would absolutely stay here again every time I visit NY/NJ. I’ve previously stayed at the nearby Courtyard Marriott, but this hotel exceeded it by far in terms of service and overall experience.
Just got home from celebrating the New Year in NYC with Phish for 4 nights at Maddison Square Gardens! We stayed at Robert Treat Hotel and had a wonderful time! From our first experience in the shuttle to meeting the front desk staff to a gorgeous room on the 14th floor to our last morning sad we had to leave it all! Great Experience! Amazing, kind and friendly staff! The housekeepers were so friendly and accomodating also! Hope to come back again someday! Easy to get the station to go into the city, but Newark had an amazing museum and the best food!!! We also loved that Whole foods was so close by. Thank you all again- we loved learning the history of the hotel and we're so happy to have chosen this place!!!
Pros: Located right near Newark airport and offer free shuttle service. Priced very good, we paid only 91$ for a night. Cons: Rooms were small, however well maintained and cleaned(pro). There is outer lobby noise in the room. Verdict: Good option if want to stay on a budget. I would definitely return if here again.
I stayed at the Robert Treat Hotel for two nights and it was a terrible experience. When we returned to our room around 6:30 pm after being out all day, our key did not work. The parking attendant was rude and unhelpful. The desk clerk told me I had to pay for an extra night even though I had my Expedia confirmation printed and on my phone, and it took him 10 to 15 minutes to find my reservation. When we finally got upstairs I noticed someone had been in our room while we were gone. The Do Not Disturb sign had been on the door when we left but was removed when we came back. Nothing valuable was left to be taken, but my clothes, a memorial t-shirt, and toiletries had been handled. The room had not been serviced at all. The bed was unmade, towels and washcloths were missing, and we had to br
Positive: The view and weekly rates are sensational. Negative: The guest coffee rooms to heat food and make tea or coffee. The microwave didn't work and although I didn't see any rodents or bugs the room lacks cleanliness. Its also not in a prime designated area which is slightly inconvenient.
