Residence Inn by Marriott Poughkeepsie

I ran away from home, which is a short drive away from Residence Inn. I hadn't been to this hotel in 15 or 16 years. Check in was still great. I noticed a couple of things after unpacked, and spoke with front desk agent Daisy. She was pleasant, understanding and resolved my concerns in a timely manner. The room was a great size, with pullout sofa, kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, dishes and everything you need. There is a heated pool, jacuzzi downstairs which I didn't use, but still looked as good as it did years ago. Breakfast is included and plenty of areas to sit and enjoy your meal. Thank you to all staff and management for being such a wonderful team. I will come back again soon.

After booking our room 10 months in advance for Marist family weekend, we arrived on Friday night. Check in was efficient, but when we got to our room we instantly noticed a musty smell and LOUD noise. There was a large, portable AC unit with a venting hose through the window in the sitting area of the room. We tried to call down to the front desk, but the phone was disconnected. My husband went down and politely asked to change rooms. He was told by the receptionist that there were no other rooms available and no other solution was offered. Not having any other options in the area, we stayed. Over the course of the two nights we barely slept. The unit was incredibly loud and, when turned off for quiet, the room had no air circulation. Positive: Central location, clean, helpful and courteous staff Negative: Jacuzzi was out of service - disappointing but didn?t drastically effect my stay.After I checked out, I realized I left something in the room. I called the hotel three times and no one picked up the phone at the front desk.

We all know Residence Inn's. We know they have kitchenettes and a breakfast in the morning.|What made this experience different was the team that provides services. I must say Daisy Tobar is a very knowledgeable and happy person in charge of the front desk. Her enthusiasm permeates through her whole team.|Yes it is your basic breakfast, but the difference is easy to spot. Williams takes pride in providing hot, fresh food and beverages. He hustles around with a smile to make your experience special.|The room was clean and well stocked.|Thank you to whole team and the next time I go to a WestPoint game, I hope to see you again.

I stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Poughkeepsie for a work assignment that was supposed to be 3 weeks but turned into 3 months. Manager Jose was absolutely the best—he went above and beyond to make my stay accommodating. When my assignment got extended, he made sure I didn’t have to switch rooms so I could stay comfortable and settled. His professionalism and care really made a big difference during my stay.
