Best Western Plus The Inn & Suites at the Falls

Stayed at this location on Christmas. Came home from my daughters to find the upstairs emergency door propped open. This door was right next to my room. Called front desk. Only one person on and she couldn't leave desk to check for any security issues. I asked if she had cameras to monitor hallways and she said cameras were on and locked in manager's office so she has no access to them. I complained to Best Western and received no apology from hotel. Manager said the housekeeping staff sometimes props open the emergency door and then forgets to close it. I feel this is a safety and security issue especially when traveling alone. I would not feel comfortable staying there again.

There's a patio that's right in front of a river, beautiful view. The room size was great for the price, simple and classic design, near. there was a lot of amenities provided, such as extra blankets, pillows, hair dryer, iron, hangers, mini fridge, coffee machine, essentials such as body wash, shampoo soap that smelled so good. The front desk workers were very sweet and accommodating. There's also cable TV. The breakfast was amazing. Eggs, yogurt, sausage, waffles. Baked goods. Grits, oatmeal. Coffee machine in the dining area, and all sorts of lattes. Hot chocolate, and etc... also a juice machine! One of the best motels I've stayed in, with one of the best pricings.

Summary: great staff, good breakfast, pretty view of the river, but very disappointing room for the brand and price. If they want to charge these prices and call it a BW Plus, at a bare minimum they need new beds and linens, mattress covers in every room, and new floors. Like many other reviews we felt this location fell far short of expectations for a BW Plus. The interior of the rooms desperately needs improvement and the fitness center was... kind of a joke. I may have given 3 stars if this was a regular BW but we just don't expect this quality from a Plus and they need to live up to that. Nice location, but the hotel falls short of the rustic, quaint charm it promises. While the lobby is pleasant, the rooms feel worn and shabby, with old carpeting that seems barely vacuumed. The windows are outdated, with rotting exterior molding, and the furniture is a mix of old and new. Overall, very disappointing given the hotel’s potential.

Hubby and I were planning a lovely weekend getaway while attending a relative's birthday party. We were excited to find this property and didn't mind the cost, as it seemed to have some suites, extra amenities, plus views of a river and falls.| What we got for a ridiculously high price was the opposite of what we had hoped for.
