Holiday Inn Express Poughkeepsie by IHG

Hotel was cleared and staffs were very friendly. Though the complimentary breakfast options were a bit limited, they do have a pancake machine that makes fresh pancakes in front of you each morning! There were also a good variety of complimentary hot beverages offered to hotel guests all day long. The hotel is conveniently located along the local bus route. Anyone staying here and doesn't want to drive for whatever reason, the bus stop is easily accessible on foot.

This is an older facility and it definitely showed me its age. The whole place could use a little sprucing. The beds, though, are quite nice and they pile on the soft, ovsrsized pillows. Either the placement of the routers doesn't extend to the ends of the building or the WiFi really was that bad. Not sure which. If I do book here again I will be insisting on something closer to the middle of the building. The breakfast is the best for this kind of hotel. The fresh ground coffee and warm cinnamon rolls were awesome. Very nice cereal station, decent scrabled eggs and turkey sausage patties and what I refer to as the pancake printer. More fun to watch than eat but it WAS interesting. Overall I would probably stay here again. It wasn't perfect but it was quiet and it was comfortable.

Came to Poughkeepsie for a comedy show which was cancelled due to inclement weather. Glad we got a room! The desk was friendly and fast, for check in! The complementary breakfast was Super good, clean and filled with choices! The coffee machine had to of been the topper of my morning! FRESH Ground and BREWED! Really enjoyed our stay even though our plans didn’t work out! Would definitely recommend and coming again

Reserved the suite for myself and grandchildren, since there was a jacuzzi...lots of space having two rooms, two TV's, nice and clean.||BUT, no indoor pool....||Kids liked breakfast...yogurt, three cereals, fruit, bagels, make your own pancakes (small and thin), good coffee, breakfast sausage, cheese omelet not a hit...powdered eggs? and cheese not liked.

Upon check-in I immediately felt discriminated against. I travel frequently and stay in many different hotels, and never have I been told I. had to pay for my stay up front. The front desk staff were rude from the moment I walked in the door. The "free wifi" worked for about 5 minutes, the tv didn't work, and the "complimentary breakfast" was somehow overcooked and soggy at the same time. Though the room itself was very nice and comfortable, my overall experience was less than ideal. I would not recommend this hotel, nor will I be visiting again.
