Residence Inn by Marriott Lexington South/Hamburg Place

It's wonderful with an adult son with special needs that we can travel as a family but still have our own separate areas in a shared space thanks to Residence Inn by Marriott . Highly grateful to the staff at the relaxing, clean, and beautiful Residence Inn off of Pink Pigeon Parkway in Lexington KY. We've stayed here twice now in their suites for the hearing impaired: including specialized strobe light smoke alarms and accommodated "door bell." Great included hot breakfast. Even fresh cold brew coffee! Kindness from check in to check out. We stay here while "on the road" but definitely returning for a long weekend getaway. 💛

The Residence Inn in Hamburg is a great extended-stay option in Lexington—conveniently located near I-75 and right in the heart of one of the best shopping and dining areas in town. The suites are spacious and have full kitchens, which is perfect if you’re staying more than a night or two. Plus, it’s pet-friendly and offers a free breakfast, which is always a bonus.”

This hotel has it all. Starting with the dynamic staff who goes so far above any expectations one could have, to the spacious suite that felt more like a luxury apartment than a hotel. And I slept like a baby in the crisp, white sheets on a comfort mattress with amazing pillows. The pool, the tennis court area with a basketball hoop is great. They are super pet friendly and even put dog bowls and treats in the room if they know prior to your arrival that traveling with a pet. I spent an entire weekend there and couldn’t have been more comfortable and satisfied. If you’re in the area, there really is only one choice to stay and that is the Residence Inn.

Our 3rd visit here over the years — and we love it every time. It’s all so very classy. True, not a word often used about a Residence Inn, but this one deserves it. When is the last time the breakfast room had real plates, not paper. When is the last time the scrambled eggs were cage-free and oh, so-so delicious. There was also sausage, biscuits, the usual breads/bagels, individual fat-free milk, yogurts and fresh bananas/oranges/apples. Windows in the rooms are screened and open for a breeze. While there is no computer in the business center, it’s a snap to bring your laptop and print right there (all the easy instructions are posted). Lately I've found good service and cleanliness to be elusive at multiple Marriott properties but this Residence Inn excelled in every way. From our seamless check-in with a very cheerful front desk clerk, to our beautifully appointed room, to the full hot breakfast in the morning, to our smooth checkout, everything was simply outstanding. Breakfast was a full hot buffet including scrambled eggs, hardboiled eggs, Canadian bacon, fresh fruit, oatmeal with all the trimmings, breads, everything anyone could want. It was all fresh and readily replenished. COVID protocols were followed and the staff cleaned off the tables promptly between guests.
