Homewood Suites by Hilton Lexington-Hamburg

I travel for work most of the month and stay at Hilton properties regularly. This location has been updated, which is nice, though the hotel itself shows signs of age. Hallway carpet squares are pulled up and there are space heaters positioned throughout common areas. That said, my room was clean and the bed is comfortable. The main issue was the room assignment. I specifically booked a suite with an accessible bathtub, but upon check-in I was placed in a room with a roll-in shower instead. My room is also on the back side of the hotel facing Hwy 75, which is very loud at night, if you’re a light sleeper you may want to request a room on the front side of the property. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. The hotel was clean and decorated well. Our room was large The big problem was breakfast. Very limited choices and nothing is marked as to what they were such as the sausage ( was it chicken or pork). Off to the side were bowls of sour cream, salsas, cheese and jalapeños. With that one would expect tortillas and maybe something else to make a burrito. Apparently these were for the eggs. Next to the breads were containers, not marked, I assume were cream cheese and butter. No glasses or cups next to the juices. I guess we were to walk to the other side of the room to get a coffee cup. No fresh fruits were available . The coffee was cold. Rooms were very spacious, bathroom bit small 🤣🤣 what am I expecting ,its not my home..so I guess its okay..kitchen had few utensils could have been bit better ..no kettle to hot water..its easy instead of on a electrical stove... My major concern was the breakfast in the morning, there were no one to refill..front desk did the eggs by the time they came it was already 20 minutes and eggs were so cold..couldn't eat..then usually wherever I stayed they were tortillas but here all the fillings were there but no tortillas ,when I asked the guy said no tortillas all the fillings were for scrambled eggs..bit odd but okay then..no one will eat the fillings with eggs.. Otherwise its one of our favorite hotels to stay across US..

This has been one of the best hotel experiences i e had in nearly 2 years. Staff excellent in every regard and the rooms were outstanding and huge. Literally felt like a brand new property.

Hotel and staff were very nice, room was great. Breakfast was grim, rolm was cold and fireplace broken. Good clean place to stay though.
