Residence Inn by Marriott Huntsville

I am a Lifetime Gold member and this was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had with this brand. I booked a two-bedroom suite well in advance using points and arrived with my children, only to be told at check-in that the room type I reserved was oversold. Instead of honoring the reservation, the front desk proposed placing us in two side-by-side standard rooms. I was told my points would not be charged and that I would receive additional points to compensate for the inconvenience. While frustrating, I initially accepted this as a reasonable resolution. That resolution fell apart the moment we entered the room. I discovered bed bugs in the room and immediately contacted the front desk. Staff came up and visually confirmed the issue. Motel 6 might be cleaner. Not sure if housekeeping is short staffed or what but there was hair stuck to the wall and in the sheets still. Bathroom tub is nasty, toilet had hair along with poop residue on the caulking, and bath soap is empty. This brand is usually nice but this place is nasty.

My stay there was amazing. I came in from Louisiana. Everyone was very nice and showed amazing hospitality. Travis Appleton at the front desk answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with my stay. Woke up and went downstairs and Ashley Hardin had hot breakfast and was present for anything that I needed. Overall awesome stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY DYSFUNCTIONAL I have stayed in numerous hotels around the world. I have been a Titanium Elite for a long time with Marriott Bonvoy. Staying at Residence Inn Huntsville (operated by Helix Hospitality) was the worst experience by far. From July 2025 until August 2025, I stayed at this hotel for approximately 45 days. At the end of my stay, on 9/1/2025, my family discovered that several of our personal belongings and groceries were stolen from the hotel room. I reported the incident right away to the front desk staff, Rejanee E., and she acted like it was no big deal without showing any remorse or empathy.
