Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale SW/Miramar

Residence Inn is a good one for business travellers. It has nice, spacious rooms with a kitchen, especially effective for long stay. The hotel staffs are warm and courteous. There is a small market in the lobby where you buy essential stuff. The hotel also has a swimming pool. The hotel has free breakfast with accomodation. But I wish they would bring some variation to the menu! |One small issue I would like to address is that there are tiny pests in the kitchen and that should be taken care of. Otherwise there might be a risk when you are cooking or cutting veggies on the kitchen top. |Otherwise I had a nice stay.||Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

I spent a couple of nights at the Residence Inn Ft. Lauderdale/Miramar. The hotel is located in a great area—quiet yet very central. If you need space for more than two people, the rooms are indeed spacious and offer plenty of storage. There is even a small closet in the living room. The kitchen is functional and equipped with everything needed to prepare a quick meal. That said, the hotel is in serious need of renovation. It requires painting, remodeling, and an overall update and CLEANING. Housekeeping was noticeably lacking throughout my stay. The biggest issue was the smell in the room. I reported it to the front desk, and while they came to spray the room, the odor from the previous guest returned after a short time. This hotel was a great part of my 3 day getaway from the north. The room and hotel were clean and welcoming and the staff was great. I did not have time to experience the pool although I wish I had. It was not a large pool but still looked inviting. The choices of breakfast were good as well. Also the kitchen in my room was equipped with what I needed for making small meals. I especially liked the that there was a normal sized refrigerator. I would suggest renting a car (as I did) if you would like to get to the beach (half hour drive), good restaurants and/or supermarkets. The price was a little steep but I assumed this was because I had booked my stay only a week prior. Overall, it was a great experience and I would book here again.

I was very pleased with my stay at this Residence inn property. As a Hilton Honors member I am pleased that I gave Marriott a try and signed up for their bonvoy program. I say this as the quality of stay here was excellent. First the check in process was excellent. Caitlin was very friendly and Haley helped us once we were checked in. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that is perfect for a family or work colleagues traveling together. Each of the two bedrooms had its own en-suite bathroom. Each room had a king or queen size bed. The living room also has a sofa bed and desk for working. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and utensils. The room is modern and was very clean when we arrived. We had 2 rooms. The one for my husband and I had broken AC, they did give us a fan but still completely muggy, hot. The next day we got a different room. Breakfast was okay except they say till 10. But at 940 they turn off waffle mix. They shut juice down at 945. People were still trying to get breakfast but she didn't care. I told front desk but she didn't even act like I said anything. Carpet was gross, i had my shoes off for 5 mins and went to shower next day and my feet were black. I didn't even receive a discount for room with broken AC. There's barely anything to do around it.
