Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving

I was stranded in Dallas for five days this past week due to the ice storm. My hotel room was very comfortable with a large desk, a living room area, and kitchen/eating area which was great when I couldn't go out. The hotel had friendly staff, a great buffet breakfast, and shuttles to places within a 5 mile radius when it wasn't too icy to drive. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me, knowing the circumstances. The manager even called the Mall to make sure it was open before shuttling me there, He also made sure that I could see the historic Main Street, ensuring that I get the best tourist experience possible under such difficult circumstances. Positive: Nothing - it's an unmanaged property with poor management and customer service. The housekeeping and maintenance are worst managed, on top of it management of the property does not care about the guests including the GM of the property. Negative: Housekeeping staff and poor maintenance. Basic hygiene issues, our room 104 was full of bed bugs and had to do chemical treatment, A/C water leakages, TV not working etc. Even escalating to GM of the property and customer care did not help.

It is so peaceful and the staff and housekeeping is wonderful. The rooms are what I describe a nice clean cabin. It feels like grandmas house. If you don't want to eat breakfast then there is a Denney's down the road. Most of all brothers and sisters if you are flying out Residence Inn has park and fly. They charge $35 for the week versus $100 plus at the airport or elsewhere. Yes for the week with a guaranteed rude to and from the airport unless you want to Uber. Overall the property is in the center of Dallas.

This was the most uncomfortable hotel I had ever been stayed. We hardly sleep because the A/C kept going on and off with loud noises. The sofa bed felt like a trampoline due to the poor quality of the mattress. Breakfast was not as pleasant as it was seen in the advertisement. The gym was small and did not offer a lot of choices, and some of the equipment did not function well. Overall it was not a nice experience.

Meeting all the expectations for a business trip—efficient service, quiet comfort, and reliable connectivity. I’d definitely consider staying here again for future work-related travel.
