Residence Inn by Marriott Boston North Shore/Danvers

Overall a great hotel! The layout of the property is a little weird, it isn't one building but lots of several townhouse-style buildings each with 4-6 suites. Many of the buildings have stairs to them, so if you have accessibility needs, make sure you get an accessable room. The property is very close to MA Rt. 1, MA Rt. 114 and I-95, so it's easy to get to the hotel and get to other places around the hotel. I stayed in a studio suite. The room was clean and in good shape when I arrived. The room itself is well-appointed for a long-term stay. There is a full-size kitchen with a fridge, electric stove/oven, microwave, countertop appliances, plates, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, etc. There's also a small hightop table with chairs so you don't have to eat all your meals on the couc

I had an amazing experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott. From the moment I arrived, the front desk made me feel right at home. Selma left me a thoughtful welcome note, and that personal touch meant a lot—it set the perfect tone for my stay. Housekeeping was just as impressive. The housekeeper who took care of my room was an absolute delight—friendly, attentive, and always making sure everything was just right. Her kindness really stood out. Overall, the hospitality here goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this Residence Inn to anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. Thank you Marriott.

Positive: Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Cottage type layout is really nice and cozy. Negative: Our bed was a little on the hard side. The ice maker in our room did not work (however staff provided ice for us). We could tell that people had smoked in this room and we need a non-smoking room. Still - overall - we'd do it again.

I travel often but write reviews rarely. That’s probably because I just expect good service from Marriott. I felt compelled to write about this hotel because of Monica at the front desk. She has an electric and authentic smile that you can’t teach somebody. And she’s the same kind of person who isn’t focused on making it right, she’s focused on making it better. From check in to check out, with all of my requests, laundry, quarters, ice, etc. were all met with a radiant smile. I loved staying at this Residence Inn and have it saved in my Boston hotel choices. you’d be well served to stay here too!

I stayed at this hotel for approximately three months. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but there is significant room for improvement considering the price point. For those looking in the area, I would recommend considering the nearby Homewood Suites by Hilton, which offers better value at a lower cost. During my stay, I encountered several ongoing issues: 1. Laundry facilities: The dryers were largely ineffective. Each cycle costs $2 (quarters only), and it consistently required multiple cycles to fully dry clothing. 2. Keycard access: The room key frequently failed to work on the first attempt. In many cases, it took several attempts to unlock the door, and at times it would not work at all.
