Motel 6 Danvers, MA - Boston North

Overall 3 stars. Room was okay; decent looking and smelling. Clean, but some things are broken or do not work. Service was actually excellent and the best part of my 2 night stay. Friendly, helpful people. Location is convenient off rte 1. Its around everything. I wish I could give both the elevators and the hallways one star. The elevators are scary and need maintenance to stabilize them. The hallways smell gross!! Food, grease, pot, cigarettes...all I could smell in hallway. I think of this motel 6 and say, "You get what you pay for." Yet my wallet still cried. 🤷‍♀️

Our "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarettes, as did the entire hallway of the 4th floor. (We arrived exhausted after midnight and didn't follow up with a complaint.) The room is as basic as it gets: no clock, no shampoo, no hair dryer, shelves instead of a dresser with drawers, no rack with hangars, only one hand towel and two small bath towels. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the shower had hot water and good pressure.

Positive: The only thing good about this place is it's location off the highway and close proximity to shopping, dining and Salem Negative: If I could give a negative rating I would. The pool is non functional and seems like it's been down for months. It's under construction and rooms are barely properly put together as it is. The hallways are disgusting and filthy. Infested with roaches!

Mike and Peter at the front desk are awesome. I had to stay here for a weeks with my dog before relocating to Florida and they made sure I kept the same room everytime I needed to extend in order to accommodate my stay. The entire staff is very welcoming everytime you enter and great you with a good morning, afternoon, or good day. They also tried to always offer dog treats to my dog and are very pet friendly. The room was very clean as well. This particular room had its own microwave and fridge and they were very clean. I definitely recommend this location especially if you have pets. The stay here was way more accommodating than expected.

As an army veteran, I have done a lot of traveling and I’ve stayed at many a hotel however, this particular location, for the price, is excellent. The rooms are clean and unsmoked in good water pressure and there’s a fridge in microwave at least in my particular room which you don’t always get. The front desk staff (Mike& GiGi) have been awesome throughout my 3 day stay. Next time I’m in time I’ll be back for sure!
