Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Round Rock/Dell Way

I initially booked through a 3rd party site (Capital One) and requested a specific room which was actually one living space with two separate rooms and two double beds. My card was charged ahead of time and was non-refundable. When I got there they told me the room I reserved was not available but they would give me two separate rooms. Each room only had one bed instead of two doubles like I requested but they told me they didn’t have any more rooms so I was stuck with those. Even after that, I stayed positive. Upon checking out I noticed my debit was charged for the rooms as well as a deposit for incidentals. They reassured me the charges would drop off because my credit card was already charged. Two days later the charge posted to my bank account which means I was charged double. I calle

Positive: The wonderful smiles and genuine welcoming when I came in from work in the evening! Such a lovely beautiful place and kind and happy employees at the front desk! Kevin was my first experience of how I knew me and my husbands stay there would be so nice! Negative: The girls in the morning shift front desk area were so sweet to my husband as we needed documents printed out in a timely manner and they were so helpful to us both! We will always remember their kindness on our stay at the residence inn! We will be back!

We've visited this location for the past three Thanksgiving days and today marked the last time we spend our time there (family moving). The location is quiet and secluded so if you want some privacy that is the place. The parking lot is an issue since its connected witha restaurant and the spaces are real close so if you have a large car be ready for hits on your door. The rooms have a good size kitchen, living room, bedroom is separate for privacy and the bathroom a bit small. There are 2 TV's in the room with old school remotes. The bed is low and soft with 4 pillows. The bathroom only has in the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. They have warm breakfast with extra items. Outside they have a pool and small basketball court. If you are hungry there is a restaurant in front, 2 minutes

I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but my experience at Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Round Rock/Dell Way warrants it. I'd rate the room a 1 and the in-person service a 2 at best. The Property & Room This location feels old and worn down. My room was very dark and slightly dirty. Several lights were dim or going out entirely, the stove light was broken, and the only truly bright fixture was in the bathroom. It made it difficult to see at night. The bathroom is badly in need of remodeling. The bathtub caulk needs replacing, there was rust/dirt around the door frame and hinge, and the bathroom mirror was peeling. The sink stopper got stuck closed and wouldn't open causing it to be full of water during my stay. To make matters worse, I found a cockroach in the bathroom at night (photo includ

horrible! bath tub had hair in it. had a leaking sink or dishwasher. TV’s are very small, out of date with no streaming or other options other than basic channels. The furniture is torn and worn. The caulk is coming off in lots of place. The ice maker door fell off, no flatware in the room. The breakfast was pitiful and no coffee made in the dining room. As a Titanium member, this place does not even get close to the Marriot standards we are used to.
