SpringHill Suites by Marriott Austin Round Rock

I really wanted to like this place because the location is fantastic and the front desk was outstanding. But the rooms are very dated. The trundle bed was terrible with brown stains on the mattress and little black things that looked like dead bed bugs or something similar. The hotel is fully booked, so there were no other rooms available to move to.

Positive: The room fit the needs of my family of five. The breakfast was good and had plenty in of options. Negative: The receptionist at the desk spoke very quiet and mumbled, the rest of the staff was friendly and happy to help. We had a pack & play ordered to our room and it was slightly broken but we made it work.

I was impressed with all aspects of this hotel. The check in was smooth and professional, the room was spotless and the facilities through out the hotel were first class. The morning breakfast was also better than I have experienced in other hotels. The waffle iron in the shape of Texas was a great touch. To top it off, we left the photos from our grandsons graduation on the coffee table. I called the day we got home and the staff member confirmed the cleaning team turned the photos and she said she would put them in the mail the next day. She did and we received the photos several day later

The bathroom mirror fell off the frame and we were charged for it. There was no rough housing, my husband hardly touched it. The maintenance guy who came cleaned up the glass, put the mirror back onto the frame with exposed glass. We had children with us, so he offered to take it down entirely due to it being a safety hazard. Front desk and the regional manager said they wouldn’t remove the charge. She said they check for quality assurance and there were no issues with the mirror before. I find that hard to believe since I found trash behind a lamp which was in plain sight. Our stay was great until this experience. It’s very disappointing.

Dangerous Parking Lot / No Security I spend two nights at this location. After checking out, I went out to my truck at 10:00am and my rear drivers window was broken out along with multiple other cars. I went back inside and the staff didn't demonstrate any concern, they simply stated they heard about it. I have the police report, photos, and a $373 receipt for replacing the window. The truck still has scratches on the paint, broken glass damaged door panel and scratches to the leather seat where the thieves entered the truck through the window and rummaged through all of my stuff and only getting about $5 in quarters. I called and spoke to the General Manager who politely listened but said she could add some points to my rewards account but parking in their lot is the same as parking on a
