Highly DO NOT recommend this hotel. The night before Valentine’s Day, My girlfriend and I stayed at Marriott North in Round Rock, Texas. We took a shower and were getting ready for bed when she went to the restroom and just touched the door handle and the glass door shattered. The door cut her arm to the point she bled, then of course we called the front desk as soon as we could get around all the glass so we don’t cut our feet. They moved us to a new room after we packed up our belongings again, asked what happened, wrote an incident report. We asked about damages and what they intend to do, they told us not to worry about the accident that we wouldn’t have to pay for anything. Where do I begin… I stayed here several times for work, all of which got more negative as time went one, that is what lead me here. I’m not typically one for writing reviews, but this will be changing hotels even though I am a committed Marriott Bonvoy member. The first time I was staying here in early May, I had a great calm experience. Was a short trip, but no complications or complaints, and overall friendly and welcoming staff. After summertime, I was back in October, which is when I had to start paying for parking through a third party, my ac wasn’t properly working, and the prices on their menu significantly increased and there was only one bartender working to keep the whole bar and restaurant happy. Our stay at the Austin Marriott left quite a bit to be desired. The first floor is heavily saturated with artificial fragrance, which becomes noticeable the moment you walk in. The exterior door also screeches loudly every time it opens because the metal drags against the ground. One of the elevators was out of service during a fully booked weekend, which created long waits. The sixth floor has no ice machine, which added to the inconvenience. Although we registered all four members of our family, the front desk denied our request for a rollaway bed and the representative told me “Your room is only allowed two beds, which you already have.,” despite needing one for our son. I had an amazing experience during my stay, thanks to Nisa at the front desk. She took such good care of us from the moment we checked in until the moment we left. She was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful with everything we needed. Her customer service truly made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

Worst check in experience with Nisa Sahin at the front desk, no warm welcome upon entry. I provided my ID as requested and for some reason that wasn’t good enough. I had to provide a confirmation number as well. She stated the rewards account was under my spouses name. In all the years I have visited Marriott I have not been asked for a confirmation number before checking in although she had my reservation on file. The 2 ladies checking in at the same time weren’t asked for one. The exterior of the building is old and in need of updating and the bathrooms are outdated. I prepaid for breakfast but no information was provided. Next time I’m in the area I will be sure to stay at another property that has better customer service and facilities.
