Redwood Motel

The only truly redeeming factor about this place is that its located pretty close to a lot of things the average person would need. Besides that, I wouldn't ever recommend staying here. For starters, as you initially drive up, you see it littered with junk, trailer, cars, etc. Its giving you a sign immediately what you're in for when you stay here. The lobby isn't much different. Then you go to check in and the price is absurdly high at a $120/night price point. Thats more expensive than a Wyndham hotel without a single upside of staying there. On top of that, there's also a $50 deposit. When I was here, they couldn't find the key to my first room so they moved me upstairs. If I could give it no stars I would. They charge a $50 dollar deposit, not a problem but what they really mean is you give a $50 tip. No rules were broken. No one smoked in the room, there wasn’t any parties. The room was left in the same condition it was upon arrival. There is not a trash can in the room. ???? I took all the trash to the dumpster at the end of the parking lot. They refused to give the deposit back but insisted that I use the deposit to stay another night in the room. 😂 absolutely not, I’ll sleep in my car for 1 night before ever sleeping there again. It is trashy. I don’t think the sheets, comforters, pillows were washed prior to me arriving. I will never stay there again! Disgusting room, disgusting service!

Clean rooms, safe parking lot with security cameras. Manager is friendly and very helpful. I recommend this hotel. Weekly rates are affordable. Under new management. Fresh painted, quiet hotel. There guests living here for years. Give it a try!

Let me start off by saying, I haven't been to the Redwood Inn Motel since 2006. But I'd like to share a bit of my history when I was a kid. In the early 2000's, my mother used to work here as a maid and after school I used to hang out here and stay in one of the rooms to chill, watch cable and play video games while waiting to go home. At the time, the owner was an elderly Polish lady by the name of Teresa Koda, and she had a big chihuahua dog named Peso. I remember her being a bit stern, but she would occasionally order us delicious pizza with fresh tomatoes on it. Around 2005/2006, Teresa was ready to retire and go live with her son down in Texas I believe, can't remember. And I was very dishearten to hear that along the way Peso had gotten ran over... Well, I was having some life issues and ended up staying here for 5 or 6 days. Mike was very friendly, helped me and after realizing I left something there he was great to communicate with. Things could have ended up alot different for me and im just grateful for getting my things back and being treated fairly. Thanks Mike. If you're looking for one of the "safer" places to stay and don't want to worry about your belongings id recommend this motel over a few of the others in town.
