Red Roof PLUS+ & Suites Opelika

Extremely filthy hotel. Dirty linen, nasty stains on bedding, no housekeeping (I was literally told they don't have housekeepers and no security), very foul odors, water stains on the ceiling in room, really sketchy looking people hanging around making the place feel very unsafe, broken bathroom sink faucet, dirty carpet in room. The refrigerator barely worked. The room had really cheap and uncomfortable furniture, including the bed. The bed is literally a flat mattress on a spring platform. I could go on an on, but I'll just say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. This Red Roof hotel in Opelika, Alabama is a run down joke. It needs a lot of renovation and cleaning, and additional staff. I won't stay there again, unless there is just nothing else available in town. I did not enjoy

Every time I come here I am satisfied. The staff is very nice. The rooms are clean and I've never had any complaints. However, I didn't want my room to be by the ice machine and Coke machines. I was very tired and with no problem. My room was changed to a very quiet area and I had a very restful and pleasant. Stay as usual. I will always stay here when I'm in the area I stayed again at Red Roof Inn plus, and once again it doesn't matter the time of day or the time of year. I have always been able to walk in a Red Roof Inn and be provided with a clean, comfortable cozy room. Today, I am enjoying the hot tub. Have a nice day

Location was good and the front desk staff was great. The refrigerator in our first room didn't work but they gladly gave us a second room. We had some ants visit the bathroom sink. The ice machine wouldn't dispense any ice. The vinyl plank flooring wasn't glued down and gaps as wide as 1/4 inch had developed in several places in both rooms we had. Having queen mattresses were a pleasant surprise as their room reservation had them as double. However the bed frames were king sized so there was 6-8 inches of open frame not covered by the mattress. I would not stay again.

The staff was nice but the room was horrible. It smelled like dog urine. There were yellow stains on the wall. Bug infested. No toiletries at all. No wash cloths. Towels were dingy grey. Red roof isn't a 5 star hotel so you get what you pay for but I've stayed in this chain before and it was not nearly this bad.

In 47 years I've never left a bad review for a hotel. This time is the exception. We got to our room and the first thing we noticed is the linens on the bed are covered in food stains. Took my concern to the front desk and they said they said they had extra linen and to follow them. They took me to another actual room (128) and stripped the linen of that bed and gave it to me. Once we got the linen up to our room we noticed the new linen was covered in pet hair. We went down to the front desk again and this time the clerk said that "well that's just how it is sometimes". I said that is not acceptable and that they needed to at least wash our linens. I would wait but we needed clean sheets. He responded that it wasn't his job and that housekeeping could do that tomorrow. We were no
