Red Roof Inn Savannah - Richmond Hill/ I-95

Positive: That it was somewhere to lay my head on a long travel home. Negative: Everything about this hotel was disgusting. I had to go buy cleaning supplies just to clean the room enough to sleep in.

The room was clean and looked recently renovated , desk staff was very pleasant, and the bed very comfortable but the towels were paperthin and felt damp, the tiny soap was microscopic in size, shower was only lukewarm and sink faucet reversed with cold on the left and hot on the right. There were also no cups in room. The room only had the two thin bath towels when we arrived and we had to ask at the desk for a washcloth and face towel which we were given, but they were also paperthin and both about the size of a handkerchief. I might stay here again because the location was good and the room was clean but if so would bring my own towel and soap.|(by the way, I am not a fussy person and have stayed at all sorts of places including at the campground down the road but was totally put of

I was driving through and needed to rest for a few hours. I was on my way to FL for a family emergency. I checked in about 11:30 pm, there was a lot of activity on the grounds. There was also loud music coming from the room above me. The room was dark and dreary, smelled of mildew, and wasn't very clean. I was looking forward to showering before getting back on the road, but I was afraid of using any of the facilities because it wasn't very clean. I was uncertain of the condition of the beds, I peeled back the cover on one bed, curled up in the corner and slept in my clothes. After sleeping about 3 hours, I got up and left. Stayed on first floor. People above us were loud. Played Loud music and you could hear them pacing the room loud shoes. Bed was comfy and room was clean, but definitely an older building.

PLEASE STAY ELSEWHERE AND NEVER SUPPORT THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR FROM BUSINESS OWNERS. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS IS TO JUST STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE IT MIGHT BE A FEW DOLLARS MORE BUT YOUR LIFE IS WORTH IT. Was on the phone with my sister when she was verbally assaulted and almost forcibly evicted by the manager who refused to provide his name over 8$. She didn't ask for the discount to be clear and staying here wasn't her choice as this was the lodging provided to her by her company and she needed longer than her company would provide so she paid out of pocket. If you are ever in the area as a frequent traveler myself I would spend the extra 20$ to stay at the holiday in express or somewhere more dedicated to service rather than cost as the experience is generally much better.
