Home2 Suites by Hilton Richmond Hill Savannah I 95

Recently stayed here for business. I have been a Hilton Honors member for nearly 20 years and this was unfortunately my worst stay at a Hilton property. I attempted to book a corporate rate but was told this location did not offer one. Later I was told they did have a corporate code, but I didn’t qualify for it now because I had booked an upgraded room. I asked if they could just adjust my upgraded room the same amount they adjust standard room and they said this was impossible. I also reported that the refrigerator in my room was not working properly. When maintenance checked it, 2 days after I notified them the temperature was about 63°F, but the maintenance guy said it was fine for these types of refrigerators. Positive: The hotel and room had more amenities than expected. There was a patio with a fire and room had real dishes with a dishwasher microwave apartment sized fridge and kitchen sink.The staff were friendly and helpful Negative: ""

My recent stay at the Home2 Suites in Richmond Hill resulted in a truly mixed experience. While certain aspects of the hotel itself left much to be desired, the performance of the front desk staff, particularly Shanice, turned what could have been a very poor visit into a manageable one. Overall, the hotel was not that great and was not somewhere I would have chosen to stay. We stayed there because our insurance company chose it while repairs were being performed at our home. I would rate the hotel as serviceable. One notable minus is that there is a sticker on the mirror in the bathroom that notes the rooms are cleaned every other day. This did not happen until I mentioned it to the front desk staff who took care of it. Additionally, the air conditioning malfunctioned for two nights

Location was great, right off I 95. Usually they hand you complimentary water upon check in, but they do not at this location. Rooms were good beds super comfortable , smelled a bit weird in the room and the carpet felt damp. Lighting in bathroom was very dim. I could deal with that however the breakfast was terrible totally inedible.

Our check in person was great. Parking lot fit our truck and trailer right off i95. That's about where the good ended. Elevator smelled like rotten milk or vomit. Room was very sub par when it came to cleanliness. I think this one's in need of a corporate review. Upon reading other reviews Elevator has smelled for months. I didn't book it my brother did because normally home 2 are a safe stay.
