Red Roof Inn Dallas - DFW Airport North

This was a very short, horse hauling trip for us. We were coming from south of Houston with our horse trailer in tow. We left after 6 p.m. because my wife had meetings and couldn't leave work early. That means we were going to get in very late and we were going to have to leave very early to pick up our horse from nearby Lone Star Park.||The hotel was easy to get to on the 183 feeder. It is obviously an older, rebranded hotel which just about every Red Roof Inn is. We appreciated that at 12:10 a.m., there was still full access to the lobby and a desk clerk on duty. The lobby was nice enough. The clerk was a bit of a dud. He just didn't have much of a customer service personality. I suppose that happens sometimes with the late night shift.||I asked for a first floor room which the

Positive: It was in a decent area and very close to DFW airport for our flight out the next day. Also had plenty of restaurants close by. Negative: I booked two rooms and they put us on the opposite side of the hotel even though there were several rooms unoccupied right next to each other! The beds were hard and noisy. No water pressure in the shower. Elevators were not functioning.

I know it sounds like an interesting interview to have high stars. I originally stayed here about a year ago… maintenance is always on point! Especially John! Help me out so much with my TV and help me out while I was there with any kind of concern. While Tim either didn’t show, didn’t care, or gave it to John. I don’t mean to be too honest , but John deserves a raise because he really does do his best. The rooms are good - I like the space in their biggest room the most. I’m not gonna lie cleaning. Staff do do their best and if you ever need anything, they may not know English, but if you pointed it, they will give it to you and help you with getting new towels, sheets, and toilet paper. I would give this place a zero if I could. I booked my anniversary trip at this hotel weeks beforehand, to be best prepared. I had every intention of staying at this hotel, however this was the weekend of the winter storm in Texas. As I work for a resort, I understand cancellations and refunds are never very feasible at times. However, all I simply wanted was to change my arrival and departure dates to ensure I would not risk my life in driving and having to stay in Dallas while Texas reached dangerous temperatures. After calling for 2 days and receiving no response from the manager as he is always “out” and when an employee did attempt to have him call me back I was told the manager looked at the note and shrugged his shoulders and disregarded it, I was finally able to speak with him wher

I am wildly disappointed with this hotel. Red roof in will not be getting any more of my money. If I had to choose between staying at a wayside, and staying at this location, I would choose the wayside. I chose this location because it offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. I was flying out of state to visit family. I ignored the sketchy people all around the building, I ignored the dust bunnies large enough to be mistaken for cats that clung to the curtains. I prayed for understanding from my fellow travelers on the plan I was flying out on… as there was no way in hell I was climbing into the shower without a hazmat suit.
